Take your time to explore this city before taking a two hour train to the west coast of Ireland, where you can stay in Galway.

These pictures were taken in front of the Claddagh Houses in Galway, Ireland. This historic town houses the origins to the Claddagh ring. This town is also known to be the oldest fishing town in Ireland. One legend surrounding the origin of this ring lies in this fishing town. It was said that the Claddagh ring was used to identify other fisherman from the town. So, if you did not have the ring on, you were in danger!

The Cathedral of Our Lady Assumed into Heaven and St Nicholas, Galway, or just the Galway Cathedral, stands out as one of the biggest and most important buildings in Galway. This Roman Catholic cathedral was dedicated in 1965, and it is the youngest of Europe's great stone cathedrals.
